About Our Essential Oils

Neighmaste was initially established as a division of Equi-Health Canada.  It was formed in 2017 with the purpose of providing 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oil products that are vet approved and safe and effective for both horse and rider.  In the fall of 2019, Neighmaste became a divison of Prairie Winds Animal Essentials, LLC based out of North Dakota, USA.  We remain associated and strongly supportive of Equi-Health Canada.

Our purpose is horse care and our mission is to connect equine owners with the healing power of plants, knowing that every ingredient in our essential oils is 100% pure and natural, with no artificial fragrances, silicone, parabens, or carrier oils.

The essential oils are the aromatic, natural chemical compounds extracted from various parts of a plant: leaves, flowers, stems, roots, bark, etc. They are in such a potent form that a single drop of essential oil can equal multiple teaspoons of the dried herb (for instance, 1 drop of peppermint oil equals more than 25 cups of peppermint tea and oils can be up to 70x more potent than their dried herbal form). This means less is more.

How are they used?

You can use essential oils aromatically and topically.  There are many practitioners who use them internally as well, but we recommend using them externally for our equine partners.

 In essential oil form, the oils can offer some unique properties:

Supporting the respiratory, digestive, or other systems

Nurturing cell function

Encouraging balance in the hormones

Relieving stress and balancing emotions
